Our Story

In 2022, siblings Jake and Natalie sat at a small cafe in London. The conversation consisted of their observations about what made that particular cafe successful. Was it the quality coffee, the setting, or maybe just a good vibe? It was there that the idea for a unique space focused on the intangible was born.

What is the ‘motif’ or the pattern in our story? We believe it is our interaction with our community. With that as our focus, we designed a coffee brand that has no barriers. Our desire with Motif is to create a feeling: a classic cafe you just happen to stumble upon one day while exploring your favorite city. It is our goal to do that responsibly and in a sustainable way.
